Description
  • Casting into permanent mold (metal mold) is the most applied way of casting production from magnesium alloys. This practice ensures a keeping of grain refinement structure, which has primarily influence on mechanical properties of castings. The same effect can be achieved by addition of suitable inoculant in the case of lower cooling effect of mold. This contribution is aimed to influence of inoculation on microstructure, thermomechanical and thermophysical properties of castings based on selected magnesium alloys.
