Description
| - Retroviral capsid protein (CA) mediates interactions driving the assembly of both immature and mature virions. To investigate the role of Pro1 and its interacting Asp in M-PMV core assembly and infectivity, P1A, P1Y, D50A, T54A and D57A mutations were introduced into CA. The P1A and D57A mutations blocked Gag processing and the virus exhibited aberrant cores and were noninfectious. These data indicate that the Asp50-Asp57 region plays an important role in stabilization of the beta-hairpin.

- Retrovirový kapsidový protein (CA) zprostředkovává interakce vedoucí ke skládání jak nezralé, tak zralé virové částice. Pro studium role Pro1 a s ním interagujících Asp zbytků v CA M-PMV při skládání zralého core, byly do sekvence CA zavedeny bodové mutace P1A, P1Y, D50A, T54A a D57A. Mutace P1A a D57A blokovaly štěpení polyproteinu Gag, virové částice měly poškozená core a byly neinfekční. Tato data naznačují, že oblast CA, zahrnující Asp50-Asp57 hraje důležitou roli ve stabilizaci beta-smyčky . (cs)
