Description
  • Experiments presented in this paper were focused on possible application of commercially available nanofiltration membranes in refinement of sugar solutions, in the concrete to remove inorganic compounds from natural sugar extracts. Beyond the membrane selectivity and separation properties, the kinetics of cross-flow nanofiltration was measured using the sugar beet raw juice, sugar solution (17 %w/w of sucrose) and model solution simulating composition of molasses; i.e. 20 %w/w of sucrose and sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride and calcium chloride (1 %w/w of each salt). Solutions were filtered on the filtration unit ARNO 600 (Mikropur, Czech Republic) equipped with a tangential (cross-flow) nanofiltration cell. Different polymericnanofiltration membranes (Nitto Denko, Hydronautics) were tested under different conditions (pressure: 0.8 - 2 MPa, temperature: 20 - 45 °C, cross-flow velocity and concentration of components in a solution).

  • Pokusy představené v této práci se zaměřily na možnost využití komerčně dostupných nanofiltračních membrán při rafinaci cukerných roztoků. Konkríétně odstraňování anorganických sloučenin z přírodních cukerných extraktů. Byla měřena kinetika cross-flow nanofiltrace s použitím surové šťávy, cukerného 17%-tního roztoku a modelové směsi simulující složení melasy (20 % cukru a NaCL, MgCl, KCl, a CaCl v množství 1 % každé soli). Roztoky byly filtrovány na zařízení ARNO 600 (Mikropur, Czech Republic) vybaveném tangenciální filtrační celou. Membrány (Nitto Denko, Hydronautics) byly testovány při různých podmínkách (tlak 0.8 - 2 MPa, teplota: 20 - 45 °C). (cs)
