Description
| - Only two species have been found in the study area (= 40 % of the total Czech fauna). Both species are the commonest representatives of the family in Central Europe. Microphor holosericeus was slightly more frequent than M. anomalus. Havraníky, a pond near Břečkov and Široká pole hosted both species in sympatry. In comparison with the microphorid fauna of Bílina and Duchcov environs (OLEJNÍČEK & BARTÁK 2000, the family Microphoridae was included in concordance with check-list in Dolichopodidae - OLEJNÍČEK 1997), the number of species found in Podyjí NP was lower (4 species in Duchcov and Bílina environs). The fauna of Pálava BR (OLEJNÍČEK 1998) was also slightly richer with three species found (the above two species and Microphor crassipes Macquart, 1827).
