Description
| - The aim of this paper was to evaluate the influence of rearing intensity on milk production of Holstein (H) and Czech Pied cows (C). These factors were assessed: breed, life weight at the ages of 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 months, interval between calving and conception, milk yield, milk components content, calving interval and age at first calving. It was found, that statistically significant difference in weight between H and C in 3 (C 90,00kg, H 102,80kg), 6 (C 156,36kg, H 190,87kg) and 9 months (C 256,86kg, H 280,00kg) of age exist. There was also found statistically high significant influence of breed on milk yield (C 6041,9kg, H 8193,6kg) and milk components content and on the age at first calving (C 811,1 days, H 782,4 days). The lenght of interval and service period should be cut short in Holstein cows. With reference to Czech Pied cows, the age at first calving should be lower. The part of this work was also to observe life manifestations in Holstein and Czech Pied heifers.
