Description	During the ecotoxicological monitoring program in 1997 in the Šance water-supply reservoir (watershed of the river Oder), gonadal neoplasms were identified in one of the 17 northern pike Esox lucius Linnaeus,1758 subjected to post-mortem examination. Thetumor grew from two sites in the gonads which showed signs of sterility. The smaller tumor, 23 ´ 12 mm in size, was located in the mid part of the testis, the larger tumor, 25 ´ 22 mm in size, was located in the posterior part of the testis.The testis c ontains a fairly well-circumscribed, eosinophilic, roundish nodule approximately 2 mm in diameter. The nodule consists of enlarged seminiferous-like tubules formed by elongated Sertoli-like cells. Many of the tubular formations contain lumens and strictly solid areas are absent. Neither sclerosis nor calcification is present.
