Description
  • The increasing eciency of turbines demands good knowledge of dynamic behaviour and eective reducing of undesirable vibrations. One of the possibilities of reducing vibrations is the friction induced between shrouds of blades. The design of such friction interaction can be performed by suitable mathematical models including consideration of contacts. A commercial software is commonly used for the solution of contact problems but the analysis can be very time-consuming especially in time domain. This is the reason why alternative methods for a faster solution are very required. This paper deals with a suitable method for the solution and optimization of contact problems with friction especially in blade dynamics.
