Description	Export performance and transformational performance are indicators for measuring outputs through which (among others) macroeconomic competitiveness is reported. Currently, macroeconomic competitiveness is understood not only as export performance of countries associated with their ability to produce goods and services that succeed in international markets, but also as the ability to maintain and enhance a high and sustainable level of economies. This paper aims to determine the macroeconomic competitiveness of selected EU economies, namely the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria and Germany and one non-EU country - Switzerland, by the use of comparative method.
