Description
  • The time reversal mirror (TRM) is a method which can be effective in NDE of defects in materials. In this case an input ultrasonic wave is transmitted into the examined sample, then recorded by receiving transducers, processed, time reversed and sent back by the same transducers. TRM method exists in many modifications. Signal can be filtered or trimmed before sending back or just time reversed. Also it is possible to repeat the whole procedure (send, receive, filter) more than once. It's important to choose appropriate version of TRM, because the choice of the method has influence on sensitivity. Numerical simulations can help to decide which version of the TRM is suitable for each tested sample. It´s also possible to localize position of defect with numerical model. The main goal of this project is to design numerical model for simulation of the TRM method, which can help to choose optimal TRM and suitable location of ultrasonic probes. (en)
  • Vytvoření matematického modelu pro simulaci ultrazvukových časově-reverzních zrcadel. Ověření možností a chybovosti simulace porovnáním výsledků s výsledky experimentů na reálných vzorcích. Zkoumání vlivu geometrie vzorku, umístění sond, velikosti a charakteru vad na rekonstrukci primárního signálu.
