Description	The proposed project deals with the identification of the various mass-redistribution processes that operate upon and within the Earth, focusing on areas of past and present-day glaciation. The project is based on the interpretation of recent satellite gravity and positioning data. This requires the identification of the spatial and temporal changes in the Earth's gravity field from GRACE observations, surface-elevation changes in the ice sheets as measured by the ICESat satellite altimetry mission, crustal-displacement measurements from GPS, and sea-level change observations from sea-level indicators and tide-gauge data. Although the interpretation of these data is a non-unique inverse problem, there is much potential for enhancing our knowledge of the Earth system by the assimilation of such data into existing geophysical models that will be tuned according to the separated signals. Of particular interest is resolving the behavior of the present-day ice masses, especially Greenland and Antarctica, together with constraining the parameters describing the Earth's viscoelastic structure. Such knowledge will in turn be supplied to researchers who are dealing with glaciological modelling, sea-level studies and paleoclimate reconstructions. To vyžaduje analyzovat časové a prostorové změny v satelitních datech, modelovat postglaciální výzdvih a řešit obrácenou úlohu pro současné tání ledovců.
