| Description
| - The main goal of this project is to bring up experts who will be oriented to ecology field and will be able to develop new biotechnologies, adjudicate its risks and recommend the extensity and the way of its utilisation. In the centre of interest will be biotechnologies needed for long-term intensive utilisation of ecosystems which are friendly to the environment. Expert education will be implemented through multidisciplinary course aimed at introduction of new methods; additional meaning will have lectures giving notices about progress in biotechnologies and current problems of their development and implementation. Course graduates find assertion in new capacities of project BIOEKO which is prepared in Operational programme Research and development for innovations. The assertion of graduates will help to balance economic productivity of the region with the EU average. To fulfil the goal of research education a)top researchers from Biology centre, South Bohemian University and Institute of systems biology and ecology will be lectors of carefully prepared seminars and practices, b)the equipment of Biology centre and newly constructed laboratory will be used for education of molecular-biologic methods, c)international contacts, including working network with similar alignment, as a basic of students and young researchers mobility, will be strenghten, d)conditions for invitation of experts from abroad will be created to devolve their knowledge and experience during lectures and long-term internships, e)we will demand presentations of course participants at international conferences. - Cílem projektu je výchova pracovníků, kteří budou schopni vyvíjet, hodnotit rizika a zavádět nové biotechnologie do výzkumu i praxe v odvětvích se vztahem k ekologii (zemědělství, lesnictví, vodní hospodářství, ochrana přírody a pod). Cílovou skupinou jsou studenti, mladí výzkumníci a vysokoškolští učitelé. Pro ně budou jako ucelený třísemestrální kurz organizovány semináře a praktická cvičení zaměřená na relevantní moderní metody. S ohledem na intenzivní zapojení ČR do ERA bude kurz i atestace účastníků v angličtině. Absolventi kurzu přispějí ke konkurenceschopnosti ČR a v širším kontextu celé EU v odvětvích, která mají bezprostřední význam pro realizaci koncepce trvale udržitelného rozvoje. Část absolventů najde uplatnění v nově budovaných výzkumných kapacitách plánovaných pro OP VaVpI.

| - At the beginning of the project new laboratory for teaching molecular-biological methods was constructed. This Lab has been equipped with modern instruments which might be used by students of basic and advanced techniques of molecular biology, and if necessary, also students of other educational courses. - V začátku realizace projektu byla vybudována nová laboratoř pro výuku molekulárně- biologických metod, která byla vybavena moderními přístroji, na nichž později mohli pracovat studenti kurzů Základních a Pokročilých metod molekulární biologie, v případě potřeby i studenti ostatních vzdělávacích kurzů.
