Description	Cílem předkládaného projektu je zhodnocení potenciálu kortikosteroidů a blokátorů IL-1 receptorů v léčbě endotoxinem navozeného postižení jater, plic a ledvin za použití validovaného in vivo potkaního modelu a molekulárně-biologických metod. (cs) The present project is aimed at physiologically based evaluation of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of compounds with special attention paid to transport systems in the liver and kidney. These transport systems are highly altered during endotoxemia, a common clinical problem, produced by lipopolysaccharides released from gramnegative bacteria. Because the whole cascade of events is initiated by proinflammatory stimuli, appropriate suppression of inflammation may reduce organ impairment. Therefore, the present extension of previous COST project aimed at finishing of started works to allow matching of in vivo anti-inflammatory potential of corticosteroids and IL-1-antagonists with the function and expression of basic excretory pathways in the liver and kidney during endotoxemia.
