Description
  • Based on new archaeological evidence from recent excavations, by cataloguing of numerous artifacts of Roman origin found on the territory of Moravia and by using of new methods of landscape-archaeology, the project aims to analyse the transformation and changes of native enviroment caused by Roman power impact and cultural influences. The special attention will be paid tothe examination dating and verification of Roman military installation whose number in Moravia is about 25 until now. Simultaneously the project attempts to evaluate the strength and dimension of acculturation, to reasses the previous assumtion about the early development and to build up a new synthesis. (en)
  • Na základě nového pramenného meteriálu, získaného terénními výzkumy, rozsáhlého soupisu veškerých památek římského původu z oblasti Moravy a za použití nových metod krajinné archeologie projekt analyzuje transformace a změny způsobené římským mocenským a kulturním zásahem do místního prostředí. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována průzkumu římských vojenských zařízení, jichž se do dnešního dne podařilo zjistit téměř 25, jejich datování a verifikaci. Současně se projekt pokouší o postižení síly a rozsahu akulturačních procesů, které formovaly barbarskou společnost v průběhu konfrontace s římským imperiem, o přehodnocení starších názorů na historický vývoj v oblasti severně od Dunaje a vytvoření jeho nové syntézy.
