Description	The large variation exists in characteristics of hairs taken from different locations on the same animal and the wide animal to animal variation that can occur within a species (particularly in species spread over large geographical areas). Results of the determination is acceptable in the forensic trichology (the determination hair traces, the smuggling of CITES animals, furs, fur coats, fur animals) and in the cases of the illegal transport or trade of the endangered animals or their parts. A standard reference collection of animal hairs is necessary for the identification of animal hairs. Hair specimens (database) must be at disposal in natura, in permanent glass microscope preparations and in the book and the electronic forms (Atlas). The increasing and the inovation of the contemporary methods of the macroscopic and especially microscopic hair examination put the determination more precisely.
