Description	The aim of this project is to carry out the geoinformation and remote sensing support for flood monitoring, risk evaluation and flood response in the study areas in China and the Czech Republic. By using this opportunity, the conjoint operation on the resources environment and the natural disasters prevention can be enhanced, which also can put the national cooperation a forward step. The main aim of the project is knowledge sharing on the field of flood prevention and flood response. Each side will contribute with its particular expert knowledge and experience based on the current state-of-the-art on the national level to improve current solution in a complex manner. China´s partner is specialised on remote sensing technology in disaster monitoring, the Czech partner is focused on adaptive cartography methods in disaster management and cartographic framework development. Both attitudes can serve as an complementary solution covering the whole disaster management cycle from prevention and monitoring (en) 1. Na pilotní studii “Povodeň” byly ověřovány principy a technologie adaptivního mapování na konkrétním území. Na základě seminářů v Brně a v Pekingu byla vydána publikace a dále byly vydány dva odborné články v ČJ a AJ. (cs) Project workshop was realized in Brno in June 2011. It was focused on various aspects of flood management and utilisation of adaptive mapping principles. These principles were realised on the pilot study “Flood”. Based on the seminars, both in Brno and Beijing, the final publication has been published together with two scientific papers. (en)
