Description	The aims of the project are: 1. Detailed characterisation of behavioural abnormalities in SCA2 mice and investigation of the effect of genetic background on the manifestation of the SCA2 mutation to assess whether there are genes which could modify the manifestation of the mutation. 2. To study the effect of intracerebellar transplantation of embryonic cerebellar tissue on neural functions deteriorated by the degenerative disease in SCA2 mice and to evaluate the level of selected trophic factors and signal molecules to assess the hypothesis that the effect of embryonic grafts could be mediated by production of such substances. (en) Cílem projektu je: 1. Detailní charakterizace změn nervových funkcí u myší SCA2 a zkoumání vlivu genetického pozadí na projevy mutace SCA2 k posouzení, zda existují geny, které mohou tyto projevy modifikovat. 2. Studovat u myší SCA2 vliv intracerebelární transplantace embryonální tkáně mozečku na nervové funkce narušené degenerativním onemocněním a hodnotit hladinu vybraných trofických faktorů a signálních molekul pro posouzení hypotézy, že působení embryonálního transplantátu může být zprostředkováno produkcí těchto látek.

Byla testována experimentální neurotransplantační terapie myší SCA2. Část výsledků byla zpracována formou 1 článku v časopise s impakt faktorem, 1 článku v recenzovaném časopise a prezentována formou 4 sjezdových abstrakt. (cs) Phenotype of the SCA2 mice (Q58-11 line) was characterized. The effect of the genetic background on the phenotype of the experimental mice was assessed. Experimental neurotransplantation therapy of the SCA2 mice was tested. A part of the results was described 1 article in a journal with an impact factor and in 1 article in a peer reviewed journal and presented in 4 conference abstracts. (en)
