| Description
| - The substance of the project is the fundamental research and detailed analysis of the corporate performance, ownership structures and corporate social responsibility of Czech firms. The goal of the project is the improvement of the theoretical framework to model firms' performance under the constraint of ownership endogeneity. We will (a) use panel data on a complete population of medium and large firms that went through the mass privatization in the Czech Republic, (b) cover the period from the end of privatization to today, and (c) control for endogeneity of ownership. A more systematic analytical framework for evaluating the performance effect of post-privatization ownership and distinguishing between instantaneous and permanent effects of ownership changes will also be applied. Further, we will study the related issue of firms' behavior in terms of their social responsibility. (en)
- Cílem projektu je základní výzkum a detailní aplikovaná analýza podnikové výkonnosti, vlastnických struktur a zlepšení teoretické metodologie pro modelování firemní výkonnosti za podmínky endogenity vlastnictví. Dalším cílem je analýza chování firem ve smyslu jejich společenské odpovědnosti.
