| - Aim of the project of the research center is neuropsychiatric research of psychiatric manifestations of epilepsy in its relationship to behavioral conditions. A key subject of this research is immediate relationship between influence of the traumatic stress and epileptic activity in subclinical manifestations of epilepsy in psychiatry. These manifestations are similar to interictal psychiatric symptoms in epilepsy. The aim of the study from the neuropsychopharmacological point of view is accurate indication of anticonvulsant treatment in psychiatry. From the research as well as clinical point of view common mechanisms of epileptogenesis and neurophysiological influence of the traumatic stress wil be emphasized. The traumatic stress is according to several recent findings one of important causal mechanisms of epileptogenesis with psychiatric symptoms. (en)
- Cílem projektu výzkumného centra je neuropsychiatrický výzkum psychiatrických projevů epilepsie ve vztahu k behaviorálním vlivům a procesům. Jedním z klíčových témat této problematiky je studium bezprostředního vztahu mezi působením traumatického stresuaepileptickou aktivitou. A to v případě subklinických projevů epilepsie v psychiatrii, která se projevuje symptomy podobnými interiktální psychiatrické symptomatice pozorované u epilepsií. Z hlediska psychofarmakologického jde především o rozšíření a zpř esnění možností indikace antikonvulzivní léčby v rámci psychiatrie. Z hlediska výzkumného a klinického bude kladen důraz na výzkum společných mechanismů epileptogeneze a neurofyziologického působení traumatického stresu, který je dle stávajících poznatkůa hypotéz jedním z kauzálních faktorů epileptogeneze doprovázené psychiatrickou symptomatologií.

| - V rámci projektu zaměřeného na výzkum traumatického stresu a jeho klinických důsledků byla realizována řada odborných studií, které byly publikovány v předních světových odborných časopisech, a bylo také zrealizováno několik aplikovatelných výstupů. Hlavní poznatky tvořící návrh aplikovatelného diagnostického postupu byly publikovány a jeho aplikace vyžaduje další klinický výzkum. (cs)
- Within the project focused on research of traumatic stress and its clinical consequences several studies have been performed and published in leading international journals. In the clinical part of the study some applicable results have been proposed. Main findings of the research indicating applicable diagnostic procedure have been published but its further application needs clinical examination. (en)
