This is a follow-up project to the Project No 1P05ME738 which opened the Sino-Czech scientific cooperation in the field of high speed turbomachinery aerodynamics. While in the preceding Project the characteristic phenomena and flow structures were defined and described, this Project will concentrate on transonic and supersonic threedimensional flow in radial inflow turbine cascades, as typical representatives of very low aspect ratio cascades, as well as cascades for microturbines. Attention will be paid to similarity between the flow structure and characteristic phenomena in the scaled down turbomachinery elements, and to applicability of the phenomenological aerodynamic data. Contribution of the Czech partner in this Project will be mainly in the very demanding experimental investigation to generate the necessary data for physical analysis and design. (en)
