Description	The project deals with the research of the fibres structure mechanical properties - especially knitted fabrics, which are suitable for the technical uses and their connection with the fabric structure. Contrary to the solid materials the one-axistenseness of textiles does not describe their mechanical properties. The warp-knitted structures are featured to the quite large extensibility that is necessary for the textile forming into the 3-dimensional shape (e.g. cylindrical utensil of the cupshape). In the particular cup parts (collar, cylindrical part and bottom) the way of the tensile stress is different and the fabric structure is deformed according the type of the stress. The yarn in the loop displaces and moves from one loop to anotherand the thread geometry is changed in the knitted structure. It is possible to monitor this changes by means of the picture analysis LUCIA. The project aim is to develop the experimental method of the fabric testing shapeability by means of special (en) Projekt se týká výzkumu mechanických vlastností plošných vlákenných útvarů - osnovních pletenin vhodných pro technické účely a jejich souvislostí se strukturou textilie. Na rozdíl od pevných těles nevystihuje jednoosá napjatost textilie (zkoušky natrhacím přístroji) její mechanické vlastnosti. Osnovní pleteniny se vyznačují poměrně vysokou tažností, kterou lze uplatnit při tvarování textilie do 3-dimenzionálních útvarů (např. válcová nádoba tvaru kalíšku). V jednotlivých částech kalíšku (příruba,válcová část a dno) dochází k jiným způsobům tahového namáhání a struktura se podle způsobu namáhání různě deformuje. Nit v očku pleteniny se přesouvá a mění se geometrie nitě ve struktuře, kterou lze sledovat snímáním pomocí obrazové analýzy LUCIA.Cílem projektu je vypracovat experimentální metodiku zjišťování tvarovatelnosti textilií použitím speciálně vyrobených čelistí do trhacího přístroje.
