Description
| - In the project, the microhydration of mono-, bi-, and trivalent metal cations, [M(H2O)n]z+, will be investigated. As far as the metals M are concerned, mostly main-group metals and a few selected transition metals (groups 11 and 12) will be investigated.A major interest concerns the role of counterions X- for the metal-ion solvation, e.g. a comparison of [M(H2O)n]z+ and [MX(H2O)n](z-1)+, where X- stands for a halide or a pseudohalide. Likewise, the role of bivalent counterions (e.g. carbonate or sulfate) will be addressed in detail. In the second phase of the project, the role of aggregation processes at elevated metal concentrations will be assessed, which will also provide insight into the reactivity of ligated metal clusters. Once more, the counterion is expected to play a major role in clustering phenomena. - Projekt bude zaměřen na výzkum mikrohydratace mono-, bi- a trivalentních kationtů kovů [M(H2O)n]z+. Co se týká kovu M, zkoumány budou hlavně kovy hlavní skupiny a několik vybraných přechodných kovů (skupiny 11 a 12). Hlavní zájem bude zaměřen na roli protiiontu X- v solvataci kovového iontu, např. porovnání [M(H2O)n]z+ a [MX(H2O)n](z-1)+, kde X- představuje halogenid nebo pseudohalogenid. Podobně bude také detailně studována role bivalentních protiontů (např. uhličitanu nebo síranu). V druhé fázi projektu budou zkoumány agregační procesy při vyšších koncentracích kovů, což poskytne rovněž náhled na reaktivitu koordinovaných kovových klastrů. Opět se očekává, že protiion bude hrát v seskupování klastrů zásadní roli. Výsledky budou dosaženy pomocí současných hmotově-spektrometrických technik, pro což jsou navrhovatelé velmi dobře vybaveni v jejich laboratořích a mají navíc díky spolupracím přístup ke konkurenčním metodám po celém světě (např. | - The work performed within the project considerably widened the knowledge about the solvation of gaseous ions ranging from simple organic model systems to metal ions and transition metal compounds as might be documented by the significant number of publications in impacted journals which resulted from this project. - Práce vykonávaná v rámci tohoto projektu značně rozšířila znalosti o solvataci plynných iontů, sahajících od jednoduchých organických modelových systémů k iontům kovů a sloučeninám přechodných kovů, jak může dokumentovat významný počet publikací v impaktovaných časopisech, které vyplynuly z tohoto projektu. Dosažený přehled bude užitečný pro budoucí i již založené výzkumy PI, stejně jako pro spol (cs)
