| - The objective of the project is to investigate, develop and apply genetic, biological, chemical and technological processes aiming at minimizing negative impacts of cereal grain infection by Fusarium spp. toxicogenic fungi, mainly contamination with mycotoxins, including bound forms. Research and practical results obtained will contribute to elaborating analytical as well as rapid diagnostic methods for the assessment of free and bound forms of mycotoxins, extending the information pool about changes in the content and forms of these harmful substances in relation to their next technological processing and farm animal nutrition. Knowledge about genetic polymorphism and transcription activity of genes responsible for glycosylation of Fusarium toxins in barley, differences in the accumulation of free and bound forms of basic Fusarium mycotoxins conditioned by genotypic differences in barley and wheat and in their derivated products, which can be used in further breeding and manufacturing research, will (en)
