Description
  • The project is focused on basic research of photonic crystal fibres by interferometric methods. It is motivated by the practical use of the fibres in optical communications and in sensors of various physical quantities. The scientific goal is to obtain original results on physical properties of the photonic crystal fibres. The project makes use of precise methods of spectral-domain interferometry, tandem white-light spectral interferometry and other optical methods combined with computer modelling. The project is based on the collaboration with the foreign research teams. In addition, the foreign laboratories provide the technological preparation and structural characterization of the photonic crystal fibres. In this way the joint research supported by the project provides the access to the present state of knowledge in the field. (en)
  • Navrhovaný projekt je orientován na základní výzkum fotonických krystalových vláken. Cílem projektu je získání nových poznatků o fyzikálních vlastnostech fotonických krystalových vláken interferenčními metodami v kombinaci s počítačovým modelováním.
