Description
  • The aim of the project is preparation and characterization of new hybrid organic-inorganic membranes containing chemically bounded natural clay. New types of organic-inorganic precursors based on montmorillonites with intercalated derivatives of vinylic monomeres, azoinitiator and functional end-group will be synthesized. Radical polymerization, copolymerization and polyaddition of these precursors with film-forming monomers will result to reproducible preparation of new hybrid copolymers with well-defined architecture, improved chemical and physical properties. This project will be realized in close cooperation between the Czech applicant and Prof. Marand´s group. (en)

  • A series of novel organomodified clays such as intercalated Cloisite and Nanocor with synthesized alkylammonium salts were successfully prepared. The effect of the organoclay structure on high solid content polymer/nanoclay latexes synthesized by in-situ emulsion polymerization was evaluated. The permeabilities of the prepared nanocomposite membranes were characterized. (en)
  • Byla úspěšně připravena série nových organojílů Cloisite a Nanocor interkalací syntetizovaných kvarterních ammoniových solí. Byl vyhodnocen vliv struktury organického modifikátoru na polymer-jílové nanokompozitní latexy s vysokým obsahem sušiny připravené emulzní in-situ polymerizací. Byly charakterizovány permeační vlastnosti připravených nanokompozitních membrán. (cs)
