Description	The project will focus on the dynamic aspects of the formation and course of a causal meteorological situation before rain floods in the CR. The specifics of atmospheric circulation leading to causal pressure patterns will be studied with the dynamics of their movement and further development and their influence on precipitation distribution, emphasising gradients' and vertical characteristics' quantification. The links between precipitation, saturation and runoff will be monitored chiefly for what threshold values would cause a flood of a certain extremeness. Selected rain floods in the CR from 1958 to 2002 will be studied in each of the large catchment areas, allowing for the comparison of cases within and also between such areas. For each catchment area, a comparison will also be made with one extreme event from before. An important outcome will be an online atlas of these rain floods, including mainly maps of the studied characteristics both on a synoptic and local scale. (en) Projekt se zaměří na dynamické aspekty vzniku a průběhu příčinné meteorologické situace před dešťovými povodněmi v ČR. Budou studována specifika atmosférické cirkulace, která vedou ke zformování příčinných tlakových útvarů, dále pak dynamika jejich pohybu a dalšího vývoje, včetně vlivu na rozdělení srážek. Důraz bude kladen na kvantifikaci gradientů a vertikálních charakteristik. Sledována bude vazba mezi srážkami, nasyceností a odtokem, především z hlediska prahových hodnot pro vznik povodně určité extremity. Uvedené otázky budou studovány na vybraných dešťových povodních v ČR za období 1958–2002. Vybráno bude vždy několik případů v každém z velkých povodí, což umožní studovat odlišnosti případů v určitém povodí i mezi nimi. V každém povodí bude navíc provedeno i srovnání s jednou extrémní událostí ze staršího období. Podstatným výstupem bude i online atlas studovaných dešťových povodní. Bude zahrnovat především mapy studovaných charakteristik v synoptickém i lokálním měřítku.
