Description
  • Lipids represent wide group of natural compounds which play important roles in many biochemical processes in human and animal organisms. The knowledge of lipid composition in tissues is the first important step to describe their individual functions in organism and to understand their relation to the origin of serious human diseases. The goal of the project is to found new stationary phases in the lipid analysis for detail characterization of natural lipid mixtures including identification of all isomers. In the project, commercially available unconventional stationary phases for HPLC analysis of lipids in reversed-phase system will be tested (C30 columns, monolithic columns and columns for UPLC). New stationary phases for normal-phase separation of lipids differing in the number of double bonds will be prepared. Stationary phases will be based on formation of week reversible complexes of ions and double bonds with focus to separation of regioisomers. Chiral separation will be used for identification of triacylglycerol optical isomers. Separation conditions for HILIC analysis of complex natural mixtures of polar lipids with MS detection will be optimized. (en)
  • Hlavním cílem navrhovaného projektu je příprava nových a testování stávajících nekonvenčních stacionárních fází pro HPLC separaci lipidů. Budou provedeny detailní charakterizace složitých přírodních směsí lipidů zahrnující rozlišení a identifikaci všech druhů izomerů.
