Description
  • The project examines the impact of disturbances in mountain landscapes, particularly changes in the structure, extent and health of forest vegetation as a result of different causal processes on the dynamics of fluvial processes.The project analyzes the different types of disturbances, induced by different causal factors - such as the forest vegetation damage by pollution, bark beetle outbreak, wind storms or forest management, or modifications of river network, riverbed and floodplains. The effect of these changes on the dynamics of runoff and fluvial processes is analyzed using detailed monitoring of rainfall-runoff processes and field mapping of changes in morphological characteristics in channels and floodplains.Solutions are focused on mountain areas, which represent the most sensitive indicator of the impact of environmental changes on the dynamics of fluvial processes, namely the the headwaters of the Sumava and Ore Mountains, and as examples of areas affected by different manifestations of disturbances of forest vegetation and anthropogenic modifications of streams.   • Projekt zkoumá vliv disturbancí krajiny v horské krajině, zejména změny struktury, rozsahu a zdravotního stavu lesní vegetace v důsledku různých příčinných procesů, na dynamiku fluviálních procesů, probíhajících v korytě toku a údolní nivě. Projekt analyzuje různé typy disturbancí, vyvolané různými příčinnými faktory u lesní vegetace např. poškozením imisemi, kůrovcovou kalamitou, větrnými bouřemi nebo lesním managementem, u říční sítě úpravami trasy a koryt toků a údolní nivy. Účinek těchto změn na dynamiku odtokových a fluviálních procesů na základě dat vlastního kontinuálního monitoringu srážko-odtokových procesů v síti měrných stanic a terénního mapování změn fluviálně morfologických charakteristik koryt toků a nivy. Řešení se orientuje na horské oblasti, které představují nejcitlivější indikátor vlivu změn prostředí na dynamiku fluviálních procesů. Modelové oblasti představují pramenné oblasti Šumavy a Krušných hor jako příklady území, zasažených odlišnými projevy disturbancí lesní vegetace a antropogenními zásahy do prostředí vodních toků.

  • Very good project contributing to the intensive research into the effect of landscape disturbance on the fluvial dynamics. The project characterized by the participation of a number of doctoral students led to the detailed mapping of the areas using modern technologies. The results, which are adequately supported by publications, were partly obtained by closer international cooperation. (en)
  • Velmi dobře řešený projekt přispívající k výstupům v současnosti intenzívního výzkumu vlivu disturbance krajiny na fluviální dynamiku. Projekt s nemalým podílem doktorandů vedl za použití moderních technologií k důkladnému zmapování studovaných oblastí. Část výsledků, které jsou dostatečně podpořené publikacemi, byla navíc dosažena prostřednictvím užší mezinárodní spolupráce. (cs)
