Description	The project deals with an investigation of smart polymer (SP) materials; shape memory polymers and the hydrogels responding sensitively to a temperature change. Aims of the project consist in designing and development of new advanced materials with improved and tunable smart properties, as well as a good thermal stability and mechanical properties. The determination and understanding the relationships between the structure of the SP, based on covalently or physically crosslinked organic-inorganic nanocomposites, and their smart behavior, is the crucial point of the investigation. Attention will be paid mainly to the evaluation and optimization of the nanofiller effect and influence of the interphase polymer-nanofiller on viscoelastic and thermomechanical properties of SP governing their smart properties. The research will contribute to the fundamental understanding of behavior of smart polymers. (en) Projekt se zabývá studiem inteligentních polymerních (IP) materiálů - polymerů s tvarovou pamětí a hydrogelů reagujících citlivě na změnu teploty. Cílem projektu je vývoj a příprava nových pokročilých materiálů se zlepšenými, a v širokém rozmezí regulovatelnými inteligentními (IT) vlastnostmi, dobrou tepelnou stabilitou a optimálními mechanickými vlastnostmi. Stanovení a pochopení vztahů mezi strukturou a morfologií IP, na bázi chemicky nebo fyzikálně sesíťovaných organicko-anorganických nanokompozitů, a jejich IT chováním, je základním bodem výzkumu. Pozornost bude věnována zejména sledování a optimalizaci vlivu různých typů anorganických nanoplniv a vlivu mezifázové interakce s polymerní matricí na viskoelastické a termomechanické chování IP, určujících jejich IT vlastnosti. Výzkum přispěje k obecnému pochopení chování inteligentních polymerů.
