Description
  • The project %22The Municipal Law of the Kingdom of Bohemia%22 concerns the codification of municipal law which is a unique phenomenon at least in central European dimensions. It is the testimonial of the special quality of the Czech early modern law and it influenced the codifications of the time of the Enlightenment during the 18th and 19th century. The aim of the project while using innovative approaches and methods is to prepare a scientific edition of the codex together with all supplements, commentary and explication of legal provisions. The second output of the project will be a team monograph that will deal with municipal law in Bohemia from different viewpoints. The third output will be the edition of the digital form of the text. The reviewed and presented information on the sources will fundamentally extend the scope of possible studies of history and the modes of development during the application of municipal law and jurisdiction on the territory of our state in Early Modern Times and of the roots of Roman law incorporated in the Czech law. The results of the project will serve research workers from different fields of science, also from abroad, students of law and philosophic faculties. The present experience mainly in the field of law shows that it is necessary to go back in history to solve specific legal questions especially in law-suits in the field of property restitutions and in exercising rights based on past history.   • Cílem projektu je připravit vědeckou kritickou edici zákoníku Práva městská Království českého se všemi jeho doplňky, s komentářem a výkladem ustanovení. Druhým výstupem projektu bude kolektivní monografie o městském právu a třetím výstupem projektu bude digitální forma edice.
