Description	The presented project will present a comprehensive, theoretically informed, methodologically rigorous and empirically rich study of global prohibition regimes (GPRs) in current world politics, specifically in the security domain. It builds on and further integrates three generations of IR regime theory (neorealist/neoliberal; cognitive/thin constructivist; and strong constructivist) to account for key mechanisms of formation, maintenance, transformation and/or subversion of GPRs. Qualities related to processes of prohibition will be studied and existing relationships between prohibitory frameworks and regulative frameworks will be investigated. Specifically, institutional and security bases of three clusters of GPR will be examined and compared (intra-cluster and inter-cluster comparison): non-conventional weapons (nuclear, chemical, and biological); residual categories of conventional weapons (antipersonnel landmines, cluster munitions, and small arms and light weapons); and internal security and organized-crime issues (drugs, endangered species, cyber security). (en) Předložený projekt umožní komplexní, teoreticky zakotvený, metodologicky důkladný a empiricky obsáhlý výzkum globálních prohibičních režimů (GPR) v současné světové politice, zejména v oblasti bezpečnosti. Vychází ze tří generací teorie režimů v oboru mezinárodních vztahů (neorealistická/neoliberální; kognitivní/slabě konstruktivistická; a silně konstruktivistická), které dále integruje za účelem identifikace hlavních mechanismů utváření, udržování, transformace anebo destabilizace GPR. Studovány budou vlastnosti spojené s procesy prohibice a existující vztahy mezi prohibičními a regulačními rámci. Konkrétně budou podrobeny zkoumání a srovnány (uvnitř skupiny/napříč skupinami) institucionální a bezpečnostní základny tří skupin GPR: režimy nekonvenčních zbraní (jaderných, chemických a biologických); režimy pro zbytkové kategorie konvenčních zbraní (nášlapné miny, kazetová munice a malé a lehké zbraně); a režimy vázané k vnitřní bezpečnosti a organizovanému zločinu (drogy, ohrožené druhy, kybernetická bezpečnost).
