Oilseed rape is one of the most important oil crops not only in the Czech Republic but worldwide. Increasing significance of this crop is expected due to processing the seeds for biofuel production. The main limiting factor of oilseed rape production is occurrence of diseases, mainly phoma stem canker caused by an ascomycete Leptosphaeria maculans. Commonly used strategies to control this pathogen are based on resistant cultivars and treatment the plants with high doses of fungicides that often burden environment. An alternative tool in IPM is activation of plants own defence potential, i.e. utilization of systemic acquired resistance (SAR). The aim of this project is to find out effectors and pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) derived from L. maculans, witch could be further used as effective resistance inducers. Compounds produced to cultivation medium as well as cell wall components will be separated from L. maculans in vitro culture and their biological activity examined. Effect of (en)
Cílem projektu je příprava elicitorů obranné reakce odvozených z patogenu Leptosphaeria maculans a jejich využití pro zvýšení odolnosti řepky vůči fomové hnilobě (cs)
