Description	The first goal of the project is to study the effects of deregulation of labor- and credit markets on economic growth in more than 70 economies over a period of 30 years. Using a difference-in-difference estimation and an IV approach to the selection into the timing of reforms, this research would find whether deregulation contributed to economic growth of the early reformers relatively more than to the growth of the late reformers. The second goal of the project is to hypothesize and study whether deregulation has a different effect on firms of different size. Answering this question is important from a policy perspective because identical deregulation policies would hypothetically have a different impact on different economies and the policy impact will be conditioned, among other things, on the distribution of value added across firms of different size. The main contribution of this project would then be to find evidence for the above hypothesis by using our firm-level data. This finding would explain the established cross-country differences in the deregulation reform outcomes. (en) Prvním cílem projektu je studovat vliv deregulace pracovních trhů a též finančních trhů na hospodářský růst ve více než než 70 ekonomikách v období 30 let. Pomocí metody odhadu rozdíl-v-rozdílu a za využití instrumentů pro odhad výběrové rovnice o načasování reforem, by měla tato studie odpovědět na otázku, zda deregulace přispěla k hospodářskému růstu relativně více u prvních reformátorů než tomu bylo u pozdějších reformátorů. Druhým cílem projektu je prozkoumat, zda deregulace má jiný vliv na podniky různých velikostí. Zodpovězení této otázky je důležité z hlediska hospodářské politiky. Totožné deregulace mohou mít (nejen hypoteticky) různý dopad na různé ekonomiky v odlišných stádiích vývoje. Politický dopad deregulace bude podmíněn, mimo jiné, distribucí přidané hodnoty mezi podniky různých velkostí. Hlavním přínosem této části projektu je tak prověření, zda rozdílný dopad deregulace dle velikosti firem tak není příčinou rozdílných výsledků stejné deregulace v rozdílných ekonomikách. (cs)
