Description
  • The proposed project develops researches on second housing as well as concepts of the new regional, new cultural and behavioral geographies. The major focus is given on analysis of the process of formation of regional identity and identity of regions in the areas with considerable concentration of settlements and municipalities with prevailing tourist function. It deals with identification of the inner development potential of localities and regions from socioeconomic and socio-cultural views. The analysis will emphasize both identity of regions and appurtenance of residents and tourists with the territory. Respondents of the survey will come from all groups of actors - regional government, self-government, civic association representatives, entrepreneurs, residents, tourists, second home owners and users. Results and conclusions will be published in professional international and national journals and in a comprehensive monograph. The projects links to research activities of the applicant and her team (research on regional identity, regional differentiation of second housing etc.). (en)
