Cílem evropského projektu LoMoReVI je zkoumat vztahy mezi různými reprezentacemi vágní informace. Česká část pokrývá oblast matematicko-logickou (reprezentace prostředky formální fuzzy logiky), filosofickou (vztah vágnosti a pravděpodobnosti, herně-teoretické modely) a informatickou (extrakce dat). Vagueness is in the centre of attention of many disciplines ranging from humanities to sciences to technical applications. However, there is no uniform account which would exhaustively explicate this phenomenon and be accepted across different communities. As the competing approaches to vagueness are well-developed and going in different directions, it is not to be expected to have such a uniform theory. The main goal of the project LoMoReVI is an alternative route on the way to the common framework-to systematically explore the relations between the various accounts to vagueness and uncertainty. This will provide a common formal background allowing communication between different communities and translatability of results between various formalisms. The Czech project concentrates on the logico-mathematical part of the project (representation of vagueness by means of formal fuzzy logic) but covers also the logico-philosophical part (relation between fuzziness, probability and possibility; game theory as a tool of modelling vagueness) and applications of the whole framework in AI (data extraction). The work on the project will continue a long-term close collaboration of the European institutions involved. (en)
