| - The project further develops research undertaken at the Institute of History, AS CR and the Faculty of Science, Charles Univ. The aim is to develop a joint institutional platform for research in historical geography and to strengthen the international comparability of publication activities. Within the research, emphasis will be placed on: i) theoretical-methodological issues development of the approaches used in Czech HG in the European and global context with an emphasis on the new HG; ii) regions development of settlement systems, sociogeographic, administrative, economic regions, the processes of their formation/change, the process of spatial polarization, changes in borders, and problematic areas; iii) towns position of towns in the sociogeographic system, the interpretation and explanation of changes in their external position and internal structures; iv) landscape landscape changes, their explanation and interpretation; v) heritage and territorial identity meaning of heritage, the role of heritage in formation of identities and local/regional development. - Navrhovaný projekt rozvíjí výzkumy realizované v Historickém ústavu AV ČR a na UK v Praze, PřF. Cílem projektu je vznik společné institucionální platformy historickogeografického výzkumu v Česku a posílení jeho mezinárodní srovnatelnosti v publikační oblasti. Ve výzkumu bude kladen důraz zejména na: (i) teoreticko-metodologické přístupy vývoj přístupů české HG v evropském a světovém kontextu s důrazem na koncepty "nové" historické, kulturní a regionální geografie; (ii) regiony vývoj systému osídlení, sociogeografických, administrativních a hospodářských regionů, procesy jejich formování a změn, proces polarizace prostoru, změny hranic, problémová území (příhraničí, periferie); (iii) města vývoj pozice měst v sociogeografickém systému, interpretace a explanace změn vnější polohy a vnitřní struktury měst a jejich zázemí; (iv) krajina změny krajiny, jejich explanace a interpretace; (v) dědictví a územní identity význam a utváření přírodního a kulturního dědictví, role dědictví v procesu formování územních identit a lokálním/regionálním rozvoji.
